ecoSUBm-Science series AUVs
We have five pre-configured ecoSUBm5-Science series vehicles, m5 MAX, m5 CT-F, m5 CT-F+Tu, m5 CT-F+DO and m5 CT-F+Tu+DO. We provide pre-configured options for convenience only, ecoSUB users can define the payloads for any vehicle and make changes to the options below. We are happy to provide integration work packages for new payloads as long as they meet sensible requirement for size, weight and power consumption. Our Science series of ecoSUB AUVs are focused on measuring physical and biogeochemical parameters. Collecting science data is key for this series of vehicles which are purposely designed for users in research, commercial and defence applications. Many sensors for measuring key parameters are available, however, most are not designed for use in autonomous platforms, especially not ones as small as ecoSUB. The ecoSUB team has worked with a wide range of sensor manufacturers to facilitate the availability of small, low power instruments, and continues to do so.

We can now provide the integrated ANB S-1000 pH sensor, solid state calibration free with accuracy of 0.05 pH - enquire for more information.
Science series vehicles can all be fitted with an optional nano-modem to enable users to take advantage of Network Localisation for advanced navigation and where not included in the standard payload configuration, an altimeter can be added to provide distance from the seabed and seabed tracking behaviours.

Our ecoSUBm5-Science CT-F is a low cost solution offering an easy to use AUV platform with core parameters for physical and biological measurement.
The addition of an altimeter will provide bottom avoidance capability and also can be used with seabed tracking behaviours to enable the vehicle to fly at a set distance above the seabed. |
