The HERMES C3 (Command Control & Communications) System is designed to enable ecoSUB users to connect with their vehicles in any location in the World, simply and efficiently, using a variety of communications channels including Wi-Fi, Iridium, 3G/4G, RS-232 and Acoustic. HERMES C3 is equipped with GPS for Geolocation anywhere and can act as a Long Base Line (LBL) surface node when required, for enhanced vehicle navigation and positioning when fitted with acoustic telemetry.

HERMES has an internal re-chargeable gel battery with at least 24 hour endurance and has a built in GPS—IRIDIUM—3G/4G antenna with external Wi-Fi which allows high gain Wi-Fi antennas to be used where appropriate to increase direct connection range
HERMES can connect to the control PC running ecoSUB GUI via cable or Wi-Fi and is provided in a water tight enclosure which allows HERMES to be located outside in the environment with the control PC located nearby
HERMES is fitted with a high capacity untethered roaming SIM and 3G/4G data modem allowing connection to the internet on any network, anywhere (1)
When operating out of cell phone range, HERMES is equipped with a specially designed IRIDIUM gateway which allows data exchange between the users computer and vehicles over the horizon and in internet denied areas. This means that users can be in contact with vehicles when on the surface anywhere in the World. An Iridium service contract is required for this functionality, ask for details
HERMES can be provided in customised OEM versions for inclusion on unmanned surface vehicles wishing to act as data gateways
